The Featured Bean: Sweet Bloom
Located in Arvada, Sweet Bloom is a 20-minute drive from CCU’s campus.
Sweet Bloom offers a wide variety of house-made pastries, breakfast burritos (which we highly recommend), and one of the best cups of coffee in the Denver metro area. Although we may be biased because we love Sweet Bloom’s coffee beans, they do make a great cup of coffee.
The atmosphere of Sweet Bloom is a very trendy-plant-lover-hipster-millennial type of coffee shop. Unlike many other coffee shops that have their coffee bar on the side of their shop, Sweet Bloom has their bar situated in the center, inviting customers in for a cup of coffee and a good conversation. Due to COVID, seating is limited right now, however there is space for you and a friend or two to sit and enjoy your cup of coffee, and maybe even get in some studying. They also have a lot of outdoor seating if you are one who would like to enjoy the nice, sunny days when they come around. In the shop, you will also find a few racks of merchandise, coffee machines and equipment, and the best part of all – bags of their coffee beans! If you buy a bag, may we suggest you try their Hometown blend or the Uraga?
The baristas are super friendly and do a great job creating an experience that will keep customers coming back. When a drink didn’t taste as good as we hoped it would taste, we took it back to them and they made us a new cup… for no extra cost! That’s what is called good customer service! ALSO whoever had aux knew what was up! They had a great music selection, ranging from Lover and Folklore Taylor Swift, The 1975, LANY, and other coffee shop-vibe artists.
Go check out Sweet Bloom for a great study space environment and even better coffee!
