Where Pumpkins & Family Meet: The Story of The Patch

Located in Colorado’s scenic landscape, The Patch is a family-owned spot that offers a refreshing break from busy campus life!  Whether you’re looking for a laid-back day or some fall excitement, The Patch is a place worth visiting.

The Patch first opened in the fall of 2017. Dusty and Kathy Smith had always dreamed of opening a pumpkin patch, and God made this dream come true. In the past seven seasons, The Patch has continued to grow and help families make memories they will cherish forever. Now in the eighth autumn season, The Patch has many more activities and treats to offer. One of the highlights this season is the Luke Bryan-themed corn maze, perfect for a fun challenge with friends! You also can’t miss out on The Patch’s famous apple cider donuts, made fresh every day!

For home décor lovers or those seeking unique gifts, the Mercantile offers fall-themed decorations, stuffed animals, candles, and dried flowers—ideal for adding a cozy touch to your dorm or gifting a friend! And don’t miss the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, where caramel apples and rich fudge are impossible to resist.

Whether you’re after sweet treats, local goods, or just a peaceful place to unwind, The Patch has something for everyone! It’s a great spot to gather with friends and enjoy some seasonal fun away from the books. Go visit The Patch, and you’ll wish you’d found it sooner!
