Coug Life: Spring 2021 Edition
Dear Reader,
It is a pleasure to welcome you into the vision we are building here with CougLife. As we begin the second semester of what CougLife has become, our vision remains: to call attention to the heartbeat of CCU, to feature students and what God is doing here on this campus and in our city.
We hope you enjoy the depths of the stories this edition has to offer. From stories of our very own students launching successful music careers to the real and raw of what this semester has been like in the midst of a global pandemic, we aim to feature both the exciting and the real. I encourage you, especially, to check out our story right in the middle of the magazine, Battling Capitol, by our very own Brooks Upham, a memoir of summiting a 14er.
In this edition are real, authentic works. These are the stories that comprise the lives of our students. Stories of success, stories of overcoming obstacles, stories of finding passions and joys. These showcase the lives of CCU. This is CougLife.
The team and I are so excited for you to open this up and continue to read all that we have for you. To have watched this publication come together, to watch the stories unfold as they were written and collected, was truly a joy. And it is a pleasure and honor to be able to share even a snapshot of those stories, the things God is doing in the lives of our students, here in this edition.
We hope you enjoy. Thank you.
Abbie VandenEinde and the CougMedia/CougLife Team
