Abiding
John 15:5-11 says
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”
Abiding in You is so easy to do
When the future is sure
But I don’t have a clue
What tomorrow will bring
So I take heart
Because you are my King
And you come like the spring
Refreshing my soul
Oh, I know my role
As your beloved, most beloved,
The one whose heart you stole
I seek you as I serve you as my soul longs for more
I long to adore
The Lord under and o’er
All things in my life
All things you provide
To replenish my strength
And increase my length,
Width, and breadth of faith
For I know you are constant,
The great I Am
You would never forsake me,
Oh Lord oh Lamb
Teach me to walk in the light of your love
And don’t let me wander from things of above
For I am certain that you are true
And wonderful beyond all,
All things you can do
