Poem of the Week – Reminders

One night
I was really going through it
And I was ashamed
Of everything I was

I checked my phone
And saw a notification from a friend I hadn’t talked to
In a week or so

He said that God had put me on his heart
He went on to share with me that I was an inspiration
And how he knows God’s not done with me

I was shocked by what he said
I then confided in him and said,
“You have no idea how much I needed that”

He then said,
“I didn’t. God did.”
And I will never forget that moment

If God tells you to reach out to someone
Do it
You could be what gets them through the night
