Digital Art – Kacie Long

Kacie Long submitted some of her digital art to display on the Cougmedia site, and we were blown away. Here’s what she had to say about it.

“The colorful one with the winged girl was one of my first artworks with Procreate and I was experimenting with colors and brushes. I still don’t know how I was able to accomplish such an artwork. This piece is called Tuesday’s Flight (to be honest it just sounds cool). I’d love to fly like that, but unfortunately, I don’t have wings.

I have done a series like the last one, but this is the most recent in it and my favorite. For these kinds of drawings, I use a photo reference. To find photo references, I scroll through Pinterest or visit my Pinterest board of photo references. Sometimes I use my own photos that I have or have taken. I use the colors of the photo as my color palette. Sometimes I’ll change up the color palette to make it more fun or change the person’s hair to blue or something else fun! This piece is still untitled.”
